Helpful Tips Information For Old Modern Photographers

Comment Below Article | My Blog

Hello Artvers,

Artver is my new word for people like you and I; Art Lovers. Tuesdays are the days that I share links with us Artvers that I find interesting. I’ve been reading and answering a lot questions on discussions forms, from beginner photographers, as well as some professionals asking to critique their photographs and their websites. I’m an advanced amateur / professional photographer in the making and I am addicted to sharing what I learn about photography to help spread and grow the love of photography around the world. Today I am sharing information / tips, that I found and think is helpful for those photographers that care about their work and seeks for ways of improvement; yes, Artvers like you and I.

There are three links that I am sharing with you below. The first one is mainly for amateurs / advanced amateurs, the second is for advanced amateurs / professionals and the third is a little thing that all photographers might want for themselves and why.

1. Learn Photo Composition: I remember my months of photography; I would walk around and photograph everything. Some days I still go on photowalks and photograph everything, but now, I’ve trained my eye to capture, my composition style into the frames. If you are a beginner photographer or an advanced amateur photographer read what John Harvey had to saying about Learn Photo Composition [The Link]. On the website he also shared a quote from Edward Weston that I am going to share with you, “Consulting the rules of composition before taking a photograph, is like consulting the laws of gravity before going for a walk.”

2. Controlling Your Personal Exposure: Scott Bourne posted, 10 Blogging, Podcasting & Twitter Tips for Photographers. This is for advanced amateurs and professionals. Every true pro Blogger and Photographer that I have spoken to in my earlier days shared this information with me. Scott did and awesome job writing up the tips for you, check it out; [The Link]. I enjoyed reading the article because I am in the process of letting people see that I can take great photographs; they are giving me the love back and accepting me as an artist. Thank you all for helping dust off the home plate for me to slide on base in the professional photography community.

3. There comes a time in every photographers life when….(okay I am going to stop with the grand papa voice). At the end of the day, when you are done you’re your photowalking, late night editing and self-marking you should show your love back to other Artvers out there working hard. You when you comment on their work you fill out a little form providing your name, website (if you have one), email and your message. RC Concepcion (photographer and Web guru guy) from Layers TV posted frickin awesome simple video on Scott Kelby’s website (Photoshop Insider), of how to make your own Gravatar. A Gravatar is a little thumbnail people will see of you whenever you comment on an article. It’s similar to when you set a thumbnail on for your facebook profile photograph. Take a look at RC’s video here, [The Link].

P.S. If anyone can help me editing my comment box so we can have some Gravatars shown on Photography For You, please contact me.
