Photoshopguys Bahamas A Day With The Photoshop Guys

The PhotoShop Guys and I

A few weeks ago I got an email from Scott Kelby telling me that he was visiting the Bahamas for the weekend; I freaked out! In photography Scott’s my idol. LOL; I felt like Kayne West when he met Jay-z for the first time (well I think that’s the way he would have felt). I read the email a few more times until I let the reality set in that I was really going to be meeting Scott. If you don’t know Scott he’s the president of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and a ton of other cool stuff. I first heard about Scott when I was searching for tutorials for photoshop.

Nassau’s weather was was horrible the the entire week. The rain stopped around 4 p.m. when the guys and I met up and we drove around the island shooting for about a 2 hour session.

They were just as funny in person as on the show Photoshop User TV. Easily one of the best days I’ve had thus far. I’m sure we’ll have more days like this one.

How was this possible?

Being persistent is the simple answer. Too add, being persistent with out being annoying. I always hear about these musicians being discovered online etc. About a few weeks months ago I have myself a ‘comment branding task’. My task is to leave the comment tag: DT. Nassau, Bahamas at the end of every comment I leave on like. I mainly did this so I could rep my city showing the globe that I’m a photographer from the Bahamas and I’m putting myself out there.

What I’m getting to is if I didn’t put the Nassau,Bahamas at the end of my comments then Scott wouldn’t have known that I was down there. Shit happens..for the better usually.

Your work is SO incredible, you’re lucky to have been blessed with that opportunity. Sucks that the weather was cruddy for awhile, but better than nothing right? I’m happy for you! And…not that I’m getting married soon, but…I’ve got a connection when I need a photographer for the ceremony right? :) I’ve subcribed, so I can’t wait to see more of your work!
