I go to them when I am printing a portfolio for a model.

I’ve been building Katia Hammerer’s modeling portfolio.

It was an exciting time for me and I will tell you more about it later in this article.

But first the photograph above.

That moment pissed me the blah off!

In that baby’s mouth is a Guinness Beer bottle cap for crying out loud!!

Parents, if you needs help, maybe like a role model to look up to, you should lift your heads high to my photography friend RC Concepcion, he’s an amazing father.

Wait…shouldn’t parents be amazing to their kids anyway?

She is such a beautiful girl.

Doesn’t she look like a kid model for Gap Kids or some kid brand? I love the catch light in her eyes.

I wish her all the best I hope she grows up to be one of the worlds best models.

Katia Hammerer

Past few weeks I’ve been working constantly with model Katia Hammerer.

The prints came in, we pulled the images for the portfolio binder we purchased at i.d. art supplies.

Katia rang me and asked if I would put together a modeling portfolio for her because she was interested in modeling.

Why not!?!?

She’s naturally beautiful, an absolutely gorgeous female; that always makes my job easier as a photographer.

She would be great for lifestyle shoots, she has a kick ass athletic body and this would be perfect for her to model swimsuits.

What was scary to me though was that Kaita never modeled before.

Ouch! What the hell I’m I getting into.

I asked, “Besides being pretty why do you want to model?”

She replied, “I graduated with a degree in fashion design, which opened my eyes to modeling.”

Good enough for me.

I knew this would be interesting and fun at the same time; I was eager to see the outcome!

Before working with any model, I schedule a meeting for us to discuss the images we are going to produce.

I sent Katia a few links of videos I found online that would help her with her modeling. If you click the [Watch Video] link it would take you to one of the links.

After hours of practicing videos like those ones, getting Katia used to waking up and going sleep crazy hours, I’m more than please with the process, extremely happy with the outcome and I wish her all the best with her modeling career.

Allow me to introduce myself. Most people assume makeup is used to totally transform one’s appearance to something that person may not be, and that is not the case. Makeup is a tool that we use to accentuate our favorite parts of our face. We bring out our cheekbones a little, outline our lips for a sexier pout, and make our eyes a sultry sight grabbing weapon, but still remain true to our God given beauty.

For most models, you will have the opportunities to be transformed during photoshoots. There really is no need to go to a certain extreme for an everyday look. Just bringing out your eyes, lips and cheeks is perfect and easy routine for a daily look. Of course using as much or as little product is your choice, but the key it to match your skin tone accordingly, to look natural and to have a certain glow to you.

Neutral colors are a perfect way to be able to look well put together and remain perfectly natural. These are colors that can typically be found on a face, so using them to accentuate features, and draw attention is great. They also can not truly look unnatural or over the top. Neutral colors include colors such as – browns, gold, bronze, greys, and even blacks when not used in excess.

A favorite of mine for an everyday look is a neutral smokey eye with a nude lip. Smokey eyes are very simple to put together, and not very time consuming, and quite error proof, since so much blending is required. Nude lips are a great way to play up your eyes, since you are taking attention away from your lips. This is a very youthful look, and tones down any signs of aging.

Of course makeup is a confidence booster, and you may wear any which colors of your choice, but makeup artists would recommend pairing a smokey eye with a nude lip, just for youthful purposes. Most people tend to try to look younger, and bolder lips bring the sophistication of age to the look. Where it can look very elegant and fun, it does add a hint of age.
