So let’s get on it! I’m back in Miami, Florida and like everyone else here right now, I’m feeling that twenty-eleven hustle! I’m just happy to see all of my hommies on top of their game this year, all of us out here grinding hard and it’s a big year gonna be a bigger year.

So what has been on the plate? I’m in the post-production for H4H, AF and MTPFL. along with that I’m in the Pre-production stage for CCG. Been a busy month and I’m trying to shoot as much as I can monthly and make change stack at home when I am not there.

It has been crazy thinking the things I wanted as a younger kid is starting to shape. I feel as if I’m in the mix of the making now and not wishing to be in the mix. It has its ups and downs but we #TeamDT. aint tripping getting there in a min and living until it happens.

Shout-out to Art Fusion Galleries for throwing that awesome event and allowing me to bring my camera along, and shout-outs to Antman for hooking me up with some fresh Tattoos again over at Eternal Truth Tattoo.

Keeping Up With Dwayne Tucker from DwayneTucker.com – Hands For Hunger’s photo shoot week – Day 2.

My day started at H4H’s office, I photographed H4H’s truck driver (Steven Cartwright) picking-up and dropping-off food, then sat in a few meetings before a short nap at 3 a.m. to repeat the process.

Two years ago, I sat at this table with Alanna Rodgers (Founder & President), where I sit quickly blogging about what’s going on with my services at H4H this week. A group of ambitious young adults including myself, agreed there were a need for change then transformed a system, developing what the Bahamas knows now as Hands For Hunger.

Just like others, because of H4H’s logical concept, I became attracted to the idea and decided to help. The mission was to create a food rescue program and feed hungry people in the Bahamas.

As a movement made up of volunteers, partners, and donors we are able provide food for hungry people in the Bahamas. There are about 30,000 of them. Explore: Bahamas Hunger Statistics.

Tears nearly came to my eye when I heard a potential partner, at a meeting yesterday say, “Did you know the food you guys are providing, people depend on; they wouldn’t know where their next meal would appear from if it weren’t for Hands For Hunger.”

The first photograph above is leaving Miami, the second one is somewhere above the clouds, over the Atlantic Ocean and the third is the plane preparing for touch down in Nassau, Bahamas.

I’m in Nassau now and I’ll be photographing the Bahamian Charity Hands For Hunger (HandsForHunger.org).

The tennis player in this photograph is actor Christian Carabias. Ideas. It’s such a beautiful thing. The hardest part about wanting to do something is doing it. I haven’t made a deal with a major commercial client. I’m waiting for it. Constantly, I’m seeking ways to impress commercial sports and lifestyle companies with my work to show them I’m willing and skilled to making amazing images to help make profit and get messages across to consumers via photographs.

As I sit and write this little update I’m looking at my blessed, beautiful view of the Biscayne Bay, looking over at South Beach and the Miami Ocean. I’m listing to my itunes, indie music radio and jotting more ideas down to building a better and more detailed imagery like this one for my clients to see. This excites me. That day will come when you walk around in commercial centers (malls), look at websites look books, catalogues and creative advertising photography and say that photograph was photographed by photographer Dwayne Tucker.

That’s me in the photograph above  not doing my job about a week or two ago (time’s moving fast), assisting Photographer Joao Carlos on location in Miami, Florida. Please don’t take that part serious because I do take my job very seriously. I was taking a quick snap shot for my TwitPic upload. If Joao turned around he would have probably thrown my phone in the grass because I’m addicted taking photographs with the best camera I have on me and twitting on my CrackBerry. What more can I say, I’m a Social-Butterfly. One of the best MUA I’ve worked with, Jenna Marie Streitenfeld from KissThisMakeUp.com took this snap shot of us while I was taking the snap shot of them.

Prior to my photography portfolio being active I posted my photographs in blog post and shared articles about them. I am still going to do so. Posting to my blog allows me to share some photographs that won’t necessarily make it to my portfolio page but I would still love to share them with you.

To make a photography portfolio like this one – I purchase a template and spent a lot of time editing the photographs to fit it and personalized it. I’m not a flash designer and I didn’t see point of sitting down HOURS to create a portfolio like this from scratch. As a photographer I don’t see the point . Unless you are trying to start a flash design company :S

The point is that you want to have something what’s going to represent you and your work. If you aren’t in a position to purchase a flash template or pay a flash designer to make one for you Wix.com is an easy site with some cool shit in there to play around with. Check them out. When I launch DT.’s MERCH I will be using them to make my e-commerce part of the site to sell my photograph tee-shirts etc.

HOW TO USE?

The middle left of the screen of the portfolio page you are going to see a menu button. I’m deciding if to just have the menu stay out as seen in the snap shot above. Looking through the code to figure out how.  Over the summer you will see photographs and maybe even some video, constantly being added to my photograph portfolio. I think the zoom feature on this portfolio is cool but unsure it if to keep it if it’s gonna give me faster loading time. What do you think?

In the menu bar there are different collections of photographs for you to look at. Enjoy them and hopefully my hustle helps you keep your hustle on!

A.Spend the rest of my time with my mother.

A. I don’t play them very often; I loved Helicopter in high-school.

A.In Miami, Florida about two years so far.

A. Right now I want a D3’s; haha not thinking about that other question any time soon.

A. As a person who loved photography and shared with millions.

Q.What is the silliest prank you ever played on someone?

A. Called my buddies acted as the census people telling them that I’m coming to their homes because they didn’t fill out the form. LOL good times.

Q. If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, which store would it be and how long would it take you to spend the $10,000?

A. There goes my Nikon D3’s in one check.

Q. If money were not an object, what would you do with your life?

A.The same thing I do everyday. Hustle hard with my photography.

Q. What is the weirdest thing you will ever admit to having done in the past?

A. Not sure of anything.

Q. What place in the US would you most like to visit? Why?

A. Hawaii. Because I was thinking it then I asked @runkelly where she wanted to go and she said the same thing.

A. Romania. All of the females I’ve met from there are nice and amazingly beautiful!

My last three hours was spent looking at old photographs. I was browsing around on an older storage hard-drive and found photos from practice sessions I forgot I photographed. One thing I’m pissed about is back then I only shot JPG and I’m wishing the shots were RAW.

Before I continue…

I forgot what JPG stood for so I Googled it. JPG stands for Joint Photographic Group and JPEG stands for, Joint Photographic Experts Group. Thought you might want to keep a mental note of that because you see JPGs everyday. RAW doesn’t have a meaning other than it being unprocessed / raw data. The benefit of shooting RAW is that there are more options editing in post production.

The trip down memory lane brought happiness and helped me see improvements with my photography. I saw improvements with: Compositions, lighting, editing and becoming a sharper shooter to capture moments etc.

Only thing I can do from here on is to continue pushing harder. Pushing harder to get better and further with my love; you better believe I’m doing it!
