It’s the 21st of October; that means it’s almost the 4th of November!!!!! Believe it or not, that day is not only big for the election; it’s bigger because it’s my birthday! It’s ok no one has to get me anything for my birthday, I mean I don’t want a Nikon D300, no for real it’s ok I don’t want a Billionaire Boys Club Tee or a Ed Hardy Tee. Haha excuse me; I kept sneezing for some strange reason ☺

Today’s Post: Use It And Just Photograph!

The two photographs you see I took them in the dorms at SCAD when I did my first class on digital photography. Jamie we were just talking about that photograph a few weeks ago; I had to put it up hahaha. I was in my friend’s dorm and I called a few friends over and told them I need some photographs. They came over, sat on the chair, I took a lamp (one from Target for about $10), then I triggered the camera and got beautiful black and white images. It’s that simple.

When you love something you can do it when ever and wherever. I am directing this post mainly to the armature photographers, like me ☺ (Remember you don’t have to be a Pro to Take A Great Photo!)

What should you get out of this article?

* Use what you have and photograph! (Even if it’s a lamp or a point and shoot.)

* Annoy your friends because you love them ☺

* Make memories. (You only have one life to live have fun and live it up right.)

I haven’t shot my HDR photograph as yet and many people get down on me for that. I mean I have done the three different exposures that can be used for HDR, but haven’t locked my mind it to producing one for some strange reason; my photographs to me are like real estate, it’s all about the location.

Why would a blogger who’s building their reader base direct you to another website for information? I know!!! Pick me, Pick me! Because I care about you and want you to know everything and what I do about photography and see everything as saw that can help my photograph! Then I share a nice story with you here of course :)

I didn’t shoot that HDR image it was photographed by Nathan Pask; I found it on the digital Photography School.

Hey, it’s Monday again! Well for me it still feels as if it is Friday because I haven’t got much rest as yet. I took a screen shot of my computer right now so you can see why I haven’t slept!

Anyway it’s all good because I am happy now that things are slowing down and I will get some rest soon but at least I am able to connect with you all though my blog :)

Today’s post: Make Your Photographs 100%

[Photograph is 99.9%]

When is my photograph good enough? Everyone who asked me how do I know when to stop retouching a photograph or working on one I tell them when they think it’s good then it’s good. If you feel as if something is wrong with your photograph then something is wrong with it; if you don’t think anything is wrong with it and you are happy then others will be happy; well they should be, hope they will be! But who cares whenever you are happy then the photograph it’s good enough :)

[Photograph is 100%]

I took that photograph in Texas past summer, a late afternoon when my lovely girlfriend and I went to walk the golf course ☺. Afterward, I loaded the image in photoshop and saw unwanted areas in the photograph; I simply removed it with the clone stamp tool brush and the healing tool brush, to cover up the unwanted areas like I did is easy to do and the results very effective. To photograph like this you will need to use a tripod to shoot a ‘slight’ long exposure.

What should you get out of this article?

* Feel comfortable with you photographs

* Walk the golf course to get beautiful images like mine own ☺

* Utilize your brushes to make your photographs 100%

Hello! I hope your day hasn’t been as long as my own; if so then we will suffer together :) . Today I’ve been running around to meetings to join Ad Fed club here at MIU; and I had a meeting a few minutes ago with the president of the Photography Club here at MIU, He told me that he saw my work and he loves it; hopefully I can help make the club a bit stronger this year! I am looking forward to it you have no idea.

Today’s post: Jumping Lights

I remember this sunset as if it was yesterday’s. I was visiting my old roommate from first year (Joel) at one of the dorms at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah Georgia and we went to the top floor of the building when we saw this sunset because it was a must shoot!

I am soooo happy I had Timothy Keating as a professor; I came from Tim’s photography class and the class just learned how to do long exposures so I thought why not give this a try. To do a photograph like this where “the lights are jumping”, or some would say to get that burst effect you put your camera to a higher F stop and use a slower shutter speed. An example would be something like F22 and ¼ [Learn More]. I hope you enjoy this photograph as much as I do and you will be seeing it in my show whenever I tour for my photographs.

Hey it’s been a min…Again! Thanks for coming back to my blog and I do apologize for being absent. It seems as if my body has a hard time adjusting to new climates, but I needs to teach it how to adjust a.s.a.p. I’ve been traveling, moving into my own place with more late nights on top of the late nights that I am already used to, and recently fighting getting sick again, but shame on me for not posting on the blog. I realllllyyy donnnn’t want to get sick again like last year; I took my meds and now I am doing a bit better, pray for me ☺

Today’s post – The Burning Bush

I took this photograph about a year ago in Savannah GA. I decided to blog about that photograph because I took it when I was sick last year. Everyone who knows me knows I hate taking medicine and knows that I hate being in bed sick wasting the day, it was a must that I got outside and take that photograph. I took it right outside my dorm (2nd year of college) then loaded it into photoshop to strip the color. When I look at this photograph it makes me remember those dark days at the dorms in Savannah (Long story on that.) I look at this photograph and see / feel fire, feel dull lonely nights, and basically feel sad. The weather was cold, my roommate and I didn’t get along, (Pat P that was before I moved out into your room ☺ ) and everything was distant. (That’s before I had this personal blog to stay connected with you however.) I have a few photographs that pull some deep emotions out of me and this is one of them.

What should you get out of this post?

* Express your feelings.

* Shoot for emotions.

* Photograph when you’re sick ☺ (Yea right please don’t be like me.)

Hey it’s Sunday again; but today is not like any other Sunday. I’m feeling a bit down today because it’s September 28th, my father died September 28th 2000…8 years and I still feel as if it was today. I have to keep doing this for you all though because I know that he is happy of what I am doing?… I think…I hope…He BETTER. I do it for the love though :)

Today’s post: “You Don’t Have To Be A Pro To Take A Great Photo”

What / who is a professional photographer??? Is it someone who knows the camera in and out because they played around with it like a computer and now knows how to use it :S ? Or is it someone who went to school for photography, got a lot of connections, and now shoots for every magazine that’s out there? I don’t know; but I really want to hear what you all have to say about that. To me, people who love photography are the professionals. I find myself constantly searching for ways to make my photographs as interesting to the eye as they can be, then I share them with you. If you find sites just send them to me or post the links in the comments below. The site that I am sharing with you today that shows you

5 Ways to Hold Your Viewer’s Attention:

(They are)

1.VIGNETTE

2.SHOOT THROUGH A FRAME

3.LEADING LINES

4.FILL THE FRAME

5.BREAK A PATTERN.

Now that I have shared that with you go out there and shoot! And don’t forget to show me some of the photographs you took I can’t wait to seem them! :)☺

Hey! I’m back here again :) but only for you all of course. Thank you to all of my readers; I love you all! Past two days I have been taking off and touching down but finally I’m in Miami and in my own place! Hopefully, when I get settled down I can share some photographs with you all, but until then just know that I am up 28 floors high, over a pool and two Jacuzzis on the tenth floor, the ocean is to my left and the city to my right; but most important I’m BROKE! (But wealthy with a passion for photography & advertising design :) )

The model you see in the photograph above is the same one from when I shot a model in the sunset it was the same day actually. When we were done with that amazing (the model in the sunset) photograph and editing it on the spot we said, “hey we really have to get another great shot in tonight while the energy is still here!” I’m loving it! I’ve always seen Lacoste ads where they have models jumping in the air and knew I wanted to try something like that of my own. Not for the fashion industry because I am all about new ideas; but I wanted to try one just for the fun of it.

Examples of the Lacoste Ads:

Again thanks to my model for another great image :)! To shoot an image like this I use the SB-800 flash to capture here when she was in the air, knock out the background and simply edited the rest in lightroom and photoshop. Hope you enjoy the photographs below!

One more day before the weekend!!! Ahhhh it’s about time; finally I will be relocating to Miami !!!!!!!! This should be good ☺ Okay now let’s get to the photograph. I took it a few years back with a point and shoot camera. I was at work, there were some adapters, some juggling balls that I got from SCAD (they gave them away at orientation with the security number printed on to advertise with is a great idea), and I was bored with a camera on me ☺ so why not take a photo?

Reason why I am posting this article is to stress again shoot at anytime and shoot anywhere. I was trying to figure out some new angles to shoot from (took this in my early stage of photography) you might want to try something like that. Hope you enjoyed Thursday’s old quickie. Have a good one today!

“On my way to work this morning I stopped and took this photograph. My camera was in the jeep, the road was clear free of traffic, it was about 6:45 a.m. so I thought, “why not stop and take a photograph.” I showed it to one of my co-workers and he said he liked it mainly because if you look at the dashboard it looks like a mountain with the sun to the right of it. Taking You Anywhere; Hyundai.” Hyundai was not a client, again I’m an Ad major and I love to keep the ideas fresh :)

Photographed Juley 30th 2008

What should you get out of this?

* Look at objects in different ways. (The dashboard being a mountain.)

* Be creative.

* Wake up early to beat the traffic :)
